About Manor Court Residential Park

Manor Court Park is known for its surrounding beauty, country setting and friendly atmosphere. With just 16 exclusive homes on the park, it has a very personal feel and the residents take great pride caring for their gardens and ensuring the park looks its best through all seasons of the year.

Located on the edge of Biggleswade in Bedfordshire the park is just a mile from the local village and walking distance from the nearest bus stop. With a local store close by, this park is well positioned for a comfortable and relaxing lifestyle.

Nearby, situated along the A1 between Letchworth and St Neots is the market town of Biggleswade. The name Biggleswade evolved from the ford across the River Ivel upon which it sits. The name meant “Biceil’s ford in Saxon times; and “waed” is the Saxon word for a ford. Although once upon a time there was a medieval castle here, nothing now remains but earthworks and crop marks. During the early 19th century the town was a bustling inland port, connected to the sea by the Ivel Navigation (canal).

The Great Northern Railway opened in 1850, and Biggleswade was for a time the first and only town in Bedfordshire to have a mainline station. Biggleswade has a rich history and much of its character comes from buildings that have remained largely unchanged over the years.
