If you’d like to be beside the seaside, Handborough is just the ticket. The Dorset Coastal Path, which curves along the shores for 95 miles, is pretty much on its doorstep, so it’s a great park for keen walkers. Shops and sands are a stone’s throw away in Weymouth, which prides itself in had hosting part of the 2012 Olympics, and which can offer everything you need to make sure that you enjoy the very best of your golden years.
This peaceful park is a modern development and has been maintained to a high standard, so expect attractive surroundings and modern homes and although it’s in a rural setting, you can stroll in the nearby Chickerell village which has shops, a post office and doctor’s surgery.
